Intelligent Disaster Management Workshop

This research is about designing technologies that allow communities to share knowledge and strategies and allow the community to structure the knowledge and strategies according to their values. This will allow a disaster response team to understand what is important to the community and to work better with and for the local community.  It is timely to do this now since people use information created, accessed and stored on their, laptops, tablets and smart phones to help them make both everyday and important decisions, discover things, and to share information and knowledge. This information and knowledge searching, creating and sharing results allow people and broader communities adopting new ways of acting. It also establishes new communities, which in turn create and share new information and knowledge.
